Enlisted on PC: Squads, Installation and Your First Battles
Learn how Enlisted squad control works, prepare your PC account, and build a useful first-battle routine without relying on premium equipment.

Enlisted puts several soldiers under your command rather than giving you a single life. You directly control one soldier, order the others, and can switch to a surviving squad member. That makes the position of your whole squad as important as the shot you are lining up.
The official squad reference explains the soldier roles and upgrade systems. Use this guide to choose a starting approach and check your installation; the current client remains the reference for controls and available equipment.
Install the correct PC client
Start at the official Enlisted website, then select its PC download route. If you prefer a storefront, reach that listing through the publisher rather than a search advertisement for an unofficial installer.
- Read the current PC requirements before downloading. Available disk space needs to cover updates as well as the initial client.
- Sign in with the account you intend to keep. If you already play through another platform, check the account-linking instructions before creating a second identity.
- Let the launcher finish its update and any file checks before starting.
- Complete the tutorial, open the controls page, and locate squad orders, soldier switching, healing and the objective display.
- Try the training options before changing multiple sensitivity or graphics settings at once.
Do not treat an account with an empty squad roster as proof that old progress was deleted. First compare the login provider and account identifier with the ones you used previously. For an unresolved mismatch, contact Gaijin support with the account details requested by its form.
How your squad changes the fight
The active soldier is only part of your available force. The other members follow AI orders, and switching lets you continue while someone survives. When the whole squad falls, you choose another available squad at respawn.
Our recommendation is to give the AI a covered position before peeking or moving into an exposed lane. After losing a soldier, pause long enough to understand where the replacement stands. Repeating the same exposed move can waste the rest of the squad without creating a new opportunity.

These are decision prompts, not guarantees that one tactic wins every map.
Choose a role you can support
Enlisted includes infantry specialists, vehicle crews and pilots. The official reference describes engineers as builders of fortifications and stationary positions, medics as support for wounded soldiers, and anti-tank specialists as counters to armored vehicles.
Start by learning the infantry equipment you already have. When you add a specialist, give that role a practical job in the next match. For example, an engineer is an opportunity to help your team use the map, not simply a different rifle carrier.
Before entering a battle, inspect the current loadout and matchmaking information shown by the client. A newly equipped item can change the context of the fight. Do not assume that the menu location of an unlock tells you everything about the opponents you will meet.
A first-session practice plan
Play a few battles with one faction and a stable lineup. In the first match, concentrate on finding the active objective and learning safe approaches. In the next, deliberately practice squad orders and switching. Then try one specialist task while still supporting the objective.
After each match, record one mistake you can change: crossing open ground, losing track of squadmates, choosing the wrong role, or remaining away from the point. That produces a more useful learning loop than copying a veteran's entire lineup without understanding it.
Upgrades, purchases and PC troubleshooting
Squad development and individual soldier development are separate systems in the official reference. Read the effect of an upgrade before spending; a larger squad and a new soldier ability solve different problems. Learn the basic systems before buying premium squads or progression currency.
If the game stutters, first lower one demanding graphics setting and repeat a similar scene. If it disconnects, examine the connection or server state instead of continuing to lower textures. For a crash, note when it occurs and use the launcher's repair options where available. Keep the exact error message for support rather than reinstalling repeatedly without a diagnosis.
